To be considered for ranking, firms must have been registered as an RIA with the SEC and/or their state for at least one year, be headquartered in the U.S., have no disciplinary issues on record, offer financial planning or investment management services to individuals and/or small businesses, and manage a minimum of $500,000 in assets.

Rankings are determined by recommendations from clients, industry insiders, and fellow advisors, along with each firm’s overall growth in managed assets.

Pure Financial was ranked 25 out of 115 Best Financial Advisory Firms with over $5 billion assets under management (AUM) and 47 out of 1,000 Overall Best Financial Advisor Firms by USA Today.  Over 30,000 companies were evaluated and 1,000 companies were awarded. Companies were awarded based on performance and market appreciation, evaluated in part via an independent survey among over 30,000 clients, industry experts, and constituents. In total, the top 1,000 firms were included in the ranking.
