Reed Romine

As Chief of Staff at Pure Financial Advisors, Reed supports the executive leadership team on strategic initiatives and key operational priorities across the firm. In this role, he partners with senior leaders to help drive growth, operational effectiveness, and execution of the firm’s strategic agenda.

Prior to joining Pure Financial, Reed was a Director at EY-Parthenon, the strategy consulting arm of Ernst & Young, where he spent 6 years advising private equity sponsors and corporate clients on growth strategy / value creation, commercial / operational due diligence, operational turnaround / cost optimization, organizational transformation, and M&A transaction execution projects across a variety of industries.

Earlier in his career, Reed held consulting roles at ScottMadden Management Consultants and Navigant Consulting (Guidehouse), where he worked on strategy and operational improvement engagements for clients in the financial services and energy sectors. He began his career as a Financial Representative Intern at Northwestern Mutual.

Reed received his MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Originally from North Carolina, Reed moved to San Diego in 2024 from New York City with his fiancé, Jace, and their Belgian Malinois mix, Lola. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, exploring local beach towns, hiking, and discovering the city’s food scene.
