Position Overview:
The Chief of Staff (CoS) will serve as a trusted strategic partner to the Executive team (primarily the CEO and CFO), helping align the firm’s vision with operational execution. This role is designed for a proactive, highly organized professional who can balance big-picture strategy with day-to-day operational details. The CoS will act as a force multiplier for leadership—facilitating decision-making, driving accountability across departments, and ensuring strategic initiatives are implemented effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Alignment
- Monitor responses and ensure timely follow-up. Partner with the Executive team (primarily the CEO and CFO) to define, track, and execute firm-wide strategic priorities.
- Ensure alignment across departments (financial planning, investment management, operations, marketing, compliance, HR).
- Drive communication and follow-up on key decisions, initiatives, and metrics.
Operational Excellence
- Serve as project manager for cross-functional initiatives, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.
- Identify bottlenecks, recommend solutions, and optimize workflows across the firm.
- Track KPIs and business performance, preparing dashboards and executive summaries for leadership.
Executive Support & Communication
- Manage executive-level meetings: set agendas, facilitate discussions, ensure action items are captured and executed.
- Support the CEO and CFO with board reporting, capital partner relations, and strategic communications.
- Act as a sounding board and proxy for the Executive team in internal discussions and external engagements when needed.
Culture & Team Development
- Help foster a high-performance, client-centric culture aligned with Pure’s values.
- Partner with HR on leadership development, team engagement, and organizational structure.
- Support recruiting and onboarding of senior or advisor hires.
Special Projects / M&A
- Lead and/or support key strategic initiatives, such as mergers & acquisitions and the due diligence and integrations thereof, with additional initiatives across technology adoption, client experience innovation, and process improvement.
- Support and/or lead financial modeling and deal structuring of mergers and acquisitions.
- Perform ad hoc research, financial analyses and general business analyses to inform executive decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in strategy, operations, investment banking, consulting or private equity roles (financial services/RIA industry experience preferred but not required).
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Strong financial and analytical acumen, with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; able to adapt across audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority and to navigate complex organizational dynamics.
- High emotional intelligence, discretion, and integrity.
- Flexible schedule with some travel required.
Additional Details:
- Target Compensation: $175K-$225K plus bonus and stock opportunities.
